Professional Paint FAQs

Questions you might have when thinking about hiring a professional paint company.

  • What should I do before you get here to paint?

If we are painting the exterior, then please wait to do any new landscaping after we paint. Also, remove any items from around the outside of the home that are leaning against the walls.

For interior paint, please remove and restore your delicate valuables and wall hangings to a safe place.  We will reposition furniture as we need to to get the job done.

  • Do you leave any leftover paint after a job is done?

We sure do!  When we bid a job the price of the paint is covered in the bid.  You pay for it so you get to keep any that is leftover.  You have just what you need for minor touch ups.

  • How long does it take to paint a house?

An average size house with minor prep takes 3 to 4 days to paint.

  • What does it cost to paint the exterior of a house in 2022?

The average cost is about $3000 for a home between 1500 - 2000 sq. feet.  The total cost of painting any home will be decided by several factors including the number of stories, the ease of access to the property and the amount of prep work and repairs needed before painting will all factor into the final bid.

  • Is your estimate free?

Yes!  Our estimates are free of charge and include all the costs of the job: labor, paint, and prep.

  • Do you have references?

We have many satisfied clients and we can provide references.  However, it is easiest to read our many reviews on Google (on our Home page) and on our Facebook page.

  • Which brand of paint is best?

The best paint for a job depends in part of what is being painted.  We use a very different product for a garage floor, or a pool cage than we do for an interior wall.  We also use different finishes such as matte or satin for walls and high or semi-gloss for doors and baseboards.

We do use all the major brands such as PPG, Behr, Benjamin Moore, Glidden and Sherwin-Williams.
